The cream of world poker talent battle for the big one
More than 130 of the world’s top poker players were joined by a host of celebrities to battle for the $250,000 first prize and the title of IFP World Poker Champion at The Table.
Two days of intense, nerve-wracking competition came down to the final table in which Raul Mestre of Spain ultimately saw off Victoria Coren of the UK.
The Table is a deep-stack Texas Hold’em competition designed to accentuate the skill of the players under intense competitive pressure and media attention. Unlike established casino-based poker tournaments, The Table is not a buy-in competition and players competed for the sponsored prize fund and not accumulated winnings.
